YOUTH ENRICHMENT

WOULD YOUR CHILD BENEFIT FROM AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES

The Youth Enrichment Committee offers youth from low-income families the opportunity to participate in academic, athletic and cultural skill building activities. Through scholarships youth benefit from positive learning experiences designed to enhance their self esteem and personal development.

In 2017 we gave scholarships to 67 students totaling in $3,056.

Guidelines
Waterford Youth Assistance offers three Youth Enrichment scholarships in a lifetime to qualifying students for both academic (maximum scholarship is $100) and non-academic activities (maximum scholarship is $75). The applicant must meet all criteria on the application. WYA Youth Enrichment scholarships do not cover equipment, uniforms or membership fees. WYA provides payment directly to activity provider after receiving proof the student participated in activity and WYA is involved.
Waterford Parks & Rec is a great resource for after school activities!
